Being A Successful Blogger
Blogging has become a common sight these days and competition between blogs is fierce. How do you make yourself stand out and attract readers? How do I make a little cash from my blog? These are just some of the questions I’ll be answering in this article.
First of all, make sure you have a topic that you love. Blogging about anything else will just make you fail. You have to love what you are writing about and the quality of writing will be much better. Also, the more you love a subject, the more you usually know about it. Your readers will have a greater interest in your writing if they feel you really do know what you are talking about. The next thing you need to worry about is design. A blog design, believe it or not, can make or break you. People like a well designed blog that is not only fun to read, but fun to look at. Don’t clutter it with advertisements and “spammy” looking side bars. Keep it simple and easily navigable.
Once you have a good design and topic, start writing. Post something at least three times a week. The more you post, the better off you’ll be. Readers like to feel your blog is live and updated every day. If they want to participate in one of your conversations, they will greatly love it if they feel you’ll write back within the day. Another point for pasting: keep it up for at least 5 months. It takes time for your blog to grow. Have patience and don’t give it up.
Last but not least, making money on your blog. Don’t go into starting a blog thinking you’ll get rich. Don’t go into it thinking you’ll make any money at all. The money only comes when you have a decent amount of traffic daily and you have faithful readers. It may take a very long time before you can make anything. It just depends on how quickly you grow your blog and readership. Google Adsense is a great way to start monetizing your blog. Other suggestions would be direct ad selling one by one or sponsored posts.
Follow this basic guide and you’ll be successful in the long run. That’s usually what it takes, hard work and passion. If you keep up the hard work and love what you are writing about, then your blog will start to differentiate itself and become a popular arena for information.
I started my own blog network. You can view it at http://www.SizzlingSkillet.com Crazy name huh? It’s unique and easy to remember.
